You can't tell people things because people can't/wont/don't understand.
Because you're scared of what they'll say.
It's majorly sucky when you care about what people will think. I wish I was a completely ignorant person who didn't know/care about people, or about what they thought or how people's minds function.
Sometimes you just have to say something but you can't because you're so self conscious.
Which Sucks. Big Time.
