ha

So, exams begin tomorrow, and everyone seems to be super stressed and frantic and waayy too worried about it. But for some reason, i feel extremely calm, and really, i don't feel very worried at all, so i was wondering whether i should in fact take it more seriously, in case i do really superbly terribly. But when i think about it, i just lack the motivation to read the notes that i've written, cos all it will really amount to is a tiny two numbers on a piece of paper which you will proudly (or not so) show your parents at the end of the semester, or maybe that piece of paper will give you bragging rights for about 2 days, but in the long run, all those hours you spent slaving away trying to memorise your english essay on macbeth doesn't really amount to much, so why bother?

Today i had a conversation with my mum and it went like this:
Me: Will you be disappointed if i get below average?
Mum: ....no?
Me: What about if i fail?
Mum: no...
Me: WHAT YOU DON'T CARE IF I FAIL!
Mum: No, but you'll probably be dissapointed.
Me: Naah, not if its maths, cos i suck at maths anyway.

And then later, i was talking to my dad (who used to be a maths teacher)...
Dad: Are you having problems with maths?
Me: Yeah, can't remember the freaking formulas..
Dad: Oh. Formulas are useless.
Me:.......you need them for everything?
Dad: Naah, you won't need them in the hsc, so don't worry about it

Okay, if i fail maths, i can blame my dad for telling me that i don't need to remember formulas. And by fail, i mean actually get below 50%, which i nearly did for my yearly last year, not the nerd-style-crap-i-didn't-get-full-marks kind of fail...
