This is likely to turn into a rant.
But yeah, here goes.
Not aimed at anyone in particular by the way, jst, everyone in particular =)
But firstly i would like to say that frying hamburger patties is really gross and if i had to work at maccas or something, i would never want to eat another hamburger in my life. That saying, seeing the amount of oil and saturated fat in beef patty puts me off my lunch. My fingers are so greasy. yuck yuck yuck.
Anyway, back on track.
It seems that society these days is dictated by money. The successful people aren't the ones who are happy or content with life or whatever, but those who are financially well off. It seems that having loads of money seems to be able to get you the best things in life, such as good education, cars, houses etc etc, and hence determines your happiness. Therefore, so many people in our society today live every day to go to work, earn money, so that they will be able to buy everything that their heart desires..
Even as teenagers, how rich someone is seems to be able to determine their popularity. Everyone spends tonnes of money buying clothing, shoes, bags emblazened with brand names to flaunt their wealth. Like, why buy an $80 pair of converse shoes, when you can get ones that look identical without the word 'All Star' on it for about $10? Does a shirt really look that much nicer jst cos it has a nike tick on it? Why do people flock to DFOs etc, to buy branded goods at a fraction of the price? To create the illusion that they can afford to adorn themselves in expensive labels..ahh far out, cbb to think of any other big words. Anway, fooling yourself into believing that branded clothing is better quality is a load of crap. Everything still comes from china guys.
And whats with everyone's obsession to get a job? Theres way more important things than earning money to buy useless crap that you wont like after 2 wks. If you've managed life sponging money off your parents so far, you might as well keep going. Don't waste your time working at maccas for 6 bucks an hour cos trust me, working will get hell boring and you'll wish you didnt do it. If you want a job for the experience, then go for it. But if you're jst working for the money..its really really not worth it. Especially since one whole hour's worth of making hamburgers will only earn you like, 3 shiny 2 dollar coins that you probably find and pick up from the floor if you're anthea. And in the end, all it will buy you is one happy meal, while you probably sold 50 in that one hour. Ha. Maccas tastes so gross. I swear, its disgustingggg.
Yeah, kind of lost my train of thought now.
too many allusions to maccas =.=
